Spring 2025 signees

Starr’s Mill High hosted the Class of 2025’s signing day for athletes who will continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level. Eleven seniors signed with schools ranging from community colleges to D-1 universities.

Emma Catherine Arnold - Softball

Emma Catherine Arnold signs with Mississippi College for softball. “Ultimately my motivation came from God. Through God all things are possible,” Arnold said. “The reason I play is to bring glory to God and I carry this motivation with me every day. It helps me know that no matter how practice or a game goes, my identity isn’t in how well I perform at softball but is in the Lord.”

Emmie Bredahl - Soccer

Emmie Bredahl signs with Emmanuel College for soccer. “I’ve always been a very competitive person by nature,” Bredahl said. “I picked up soccer when I was really young, so I’ve been playing it pretty much all my life.”

Caleb Brown - Lacrosse

Caleb Brown signs with Berry College for lacrosse. “I started [lacrosse] at a late age, but once I picked up the stick, I fell in love with it,” Brown said. “They call it the medicine game, and I really do think that's true.”

Aiden Clary - Soccer

Aiden Clary signs with Young Harris College for soccer. “[Soccer] has meant everything, just important roles in my life, taking responsibility for things, supports life lessons, mental health, just everything,” Clary said.

Alex Mann - Lacrosse

Alex Mann signs with Lagrange College for lacrosse. “[Lacrosse] has meant the world to me and the fact that I get to play with good guys and have the opportunity to be active,” Mann said.

Sara Marshburn - Lacrosse

Sara Marshburn signs with Central Michigan University for lacrosse. “It’s kind of like an outlet for me,” Marshburn said. “It’s a fun place where I can just let go and nothing matters because I’m playing my sport.”

Sofia Marshburn - Lacrosse

Sofia Marshburn signs with Central Michigan University for lacrosse. “Getting better for my teammates and also my sister, because we are so competitive [motivates me],” Marshburn said.

Gabrielle Moore - Beach volleyball

Gabrielle Moore signs with Lagrange College for beach volleyball. “ [Volleyball] is a place I can get away from, and it’s a place where I do something I enjoy,” Moore said.

Jared Moore - Track and field

Jared Moore signed with Arkansas State University for track and field. “A big part of my inspiration is my family, especially my brother,” Moore said. ”Whenever I’m down and I need a boost, my brother’s always there to give me that motivation that I need to finish out what I'm doing.” Moore won two state championship last year.

Henry Pettit - Lacrosse

Henry Pettit signs with the US Air Force Academy for lacrosse. “My dad [is my biggest motivator]. He’s been pushing me to wake up before school and go work out with him,” Pettit said. “He’s the guy to tell me to do it every time.”

Kyle Rudolph - Baseball

Kyle Rudolph signs with Michigan State University for baseball. “My dad [is my biggest influence] just because of the way he always pushes me and always has my back no matter what.”
