Sophomore Pilar Fritschy has been watching “Severance.”
“Severance” tells the story of a team of office workers whose memories have been surgically divided between their work and home lives, and a mysterious colleague who begins a journey to discover the truth about their jobs.
The series stars Adam Scott, Britt Lower, Dichen Lachman, Patricia Arquette, Zack Cherry, and John Turturro among others. It was directed by Ben Stiller.
What did you enjoy about this film/series?
“I really liked the concept of it because I kept seeing different videos about the show and I thought it was really interesting and it got me interested in watching it at first,” Fritschy said. “I haven’t gotten very far, but it’s really good.”
What motivated you to watch this film/series?
“The really weird kind of bizarre concept that like the severed people’s work lives are separated between their actual life and their job,” Fritschy said.
What was the most memorable part of this film/series?
“I really liked the way that they filmed it and how serious it can be but also the stupid jokes they make,” Fritschy said. “I also really really love the music choices they picked for the soundtrack.”
How is this film/series different from others that you have watched?
“The concept is definitely something I haven’t seen before,” Fritschy said. “I think the way that they use colors to show kind of different things also is different.”
What other films similar to this one would you recommend?
“It’s kind of dystopian, so anything dystopian,” Fritschy said. “But I don’t know that there’s anything really extremely similar to it.”
