“When we’re down, [I] hype us up and make sure we’re not getting down on ourselves and staying positive,” Marshburn said.
Marshburn leads the team in causing turnovers and forcing takeaways. Along with her twin sister Sara, Sofia will be attending Central Michigan University in the fall.
“Sofia has been a tremendous leader on our team for all four years of her high school career, head coach Tony Kluemper said. “She’s really taking a lead this year and leading the defense.”
Girls varsity lacrosse is 8-5 overall and 5-0 in area play. They recently defeated Whitewater High School, 16-6.
The team hosts Woodward Academy at 6:15 p.m. on April 14.
